I-95 Night Travel Restrictions at Cottman Avenue Next Week in Philadelphia

Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled on Interstate 95 next week for
construction at the Cottman Avenue (Route 73) Interchange in Philadelphia,
the
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

This work is associated with a $212.3 million project to rebuild the
Cottman
Avenue (Route 73) Interchange and reconstruct and widen 1.4 miles of I-95
adjoining the interchange.

•On Sunday, April 17, through Saturday, April 23, I-95 north will be
reduced
periodically from three lanes to two between the Bridge Street and Cottman
Avenue (Route 73) interchanges from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following
morning
for adjustments to the work zone barriers;

•On Sunday, April 17, through Saturday, April 23, the Princeton Avenue
on-ramp
to I-95 north will be closed from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning
for
overhead bridge construction. Motorists will be detoured north on State
Road,
then left on Linden Avenue, then right on the ramp to I-95 north at the
Academy
Road Interchange;

•On Sunday, April 17, through Saturday, April 23, the I-95 north off-ramp
to
Cottman Avenue (Route 73) will be closed from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the
following
morning for overhead bridge construction. Motorists will be detoured north
on
I-95 to the exit at the Academy Road Interchange, then right on Linden
Avenue,
and right on State Road to Cottman Avenue (Route 73).

The contractor's work schedule is weather dependent. Motorists should
expect
slow moving traffic and delays entering the work zones.
