Nighttime Travel Restrictions Scheduled on I-76 in Montgomery County

Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate 76 in
West
Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, for bridge deck and expansion
joint
repairs, respectively, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
(PennDOT)
said today.

The weather-dependent work schedule is:

• Sunday, May 1, through Thursday, May 6, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane

will be closed on I-76 east at the Interstate 476 interchange; and
• Sunday, May 1, through Thursday, May 6, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, one lane

will be closed on I-76 west at the I-476 Interchange.

I-76 motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel during these

overnight operations.

Eastern Highway Specialists, Inc. of Wilmington, Del. is the general
contractor
that will perform the work. The operations are part of a $1.4 million
contract
to repair bridge decks and seal joints to preserve and maintain structures
in
the Philadelphia region.
