PennDOT Reopens County Line Road this Morning in Warrington and Horsham Townships

PennDOT Reopens County Line Road this Morning in Warrington and Horsham
Townships

4/5/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA

County Line Road was reopened this morning between Fairmont Avenue and Park

Road in Warrington Township, Bucks County and Horsham Township, Montgomery
County, following the completion of structural repairs to the bridge over a

branch of Little Neshaminy Creek, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation
(PennDOT) today announced.

The bridge, which closed for repairs on March 28, 2016, is now posted with
a
10-ton weight limit.

Drivers of trucks and other large vehicles weighing in excess of 10 tons
are
advised to use the following alternate routes: from westbound County Line
Road,
follow Route 611 north (Easton Road) to Street Road west to Lower State
Road;
from eastbound County Line Road, follow Route 152 (Limekiln Road) to Route
463
(Horsham Road) to Route 611 south (Easton Road); from northbound Route 611
(Easton Road), follow Route 463 (Horsham Road) to U.S 202 Parkway; and from

southbound Route 611 (Easton Road), follow Street Road west to Lower State
Road.

The signal-span, stone masonry arch bridge was built in 1890 and
reconstructed
in 1962. The bridge is structurally deficient. It is 15 feet long and 26
feet
wide. The structure carries an average of 14,200 vehicles a day.

PennDOT is currently performing engineering design on a transportation
improvement project to repair and improve County Line Road between Route
611
(Easton Road) and Kulp Road in Warrington Township and Horsham Township.

The plan is to widen roadway shoulders, rehabilitate the deteriorated
pavement,
improve drainage, upgrade guiderail, improve the turning radius at several
intersections, and install new signs and pavement markings. The project
also
includes the replacement of the structurally deficient bridge over the
branch
of the Little Neshaminy Creek. Once the new bridge is built, the current
weight
limit will be removed. The project is expected to move to construction in
late
summer 2018 and finish in 2019.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
