PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO Energy Planning to Close Newtown Road and Radnor Chester Road for Utility Improvement in Radnor Township

PECO Energy Planning to Close Newtown Road and Radnor Chester Road for Utility Improvement in Radnor Township

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning to close Newtown Road and Radnor Chester Road weekdays in Radnor Township, Delaware County beginning Monday, August 20, for gas main improvement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. Both closures will be in place weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM through Tuesday, November 20.

The work locations are: 
  • Radnor-Chester Road between Newtown Road and Conestoga Road. Motorists will be directed to use Darby Paoli Road, Bryn Mawr Avenue and Route 320 (Sproul Road); and
  • Newtown Road between Radnor-Chester Road and Darby Paoli Road. Motorists will also be directed to use Darby Paoli Road, Bryn Mawr Avenue and Route 320 (Sproul Road).
Local access will be maintained up to through the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. All activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
