U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) Daytime Lane Closures Next Thursday for Tree Trimming in Delaware County

King of Prussia, PA – U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway) motorists will encounter daytime lane closures in both directions between Chichester Avenue and Interstate 95 in Upper Chichester Township, Delaware County, on Thursday, September 6, for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

Crews will close one of the two eastbound lanes between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and one of the two westbound lanes between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

If rain forces cancellation of Thursday's scheduled operation, the tree trimming will take place on Friday, September 7 and follow the same schedule.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route or allow additional time for travel through the work area as backups and delays are possible.

The tree trimming is the first step in the installation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components including traffic cameras, travel time monitors, and dynamic message signs on this highway.

The new ITS components are being installed along U.S. 322 (Conchester Highway), Interstate 76, Interstate 95, and other regional highways under PennDOT's $212 million project to reconstruct northbound I-95 at the Girard Avenue Interchange.
