Weekday Lane Restrictions Scheduled for Resurfacing Operations in Bucks County

King of Prussia, PA – Weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on Old Bethlehem Pike and State Road as a part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of state highway in Bucks County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 14, weekday lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled in both directions on Old Bethlehem Pike between Route 563 (Mountain View Drive) and Route 212 (Quakertown Road) in Haycock and Springfield townships, for milling and paving; and
  • Tuesday, September 4, through Friday, September 28, weekday lane restrictions are scheduled on State Road between Tumblebrook Road and Route 212 (Quakertown Road) in Springfield Township for milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.

Additional state highway scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:

  • Blue School Road between Blooming Glen Road and Elephant Road in Bedminster and Hilltown townships.

Under this improvement project, PennDOT will mill the existing roadway surface and repave the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., of Perkasie, Bucks County, is the general contractor on the $2,746,192 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Work on the project is expected to be completed in December 2018.
