PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Three State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester and Delaware Counties

PECO to Restrict Three State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester and Delaware Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning travel restrictions on three state highways in Chester and Delaware counties, for gas main improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
 
Weather permitting, the work schedule is:
  • Wednesday, September 12, through Tuesday, October 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Hanover Street will be closed weekdays between Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in North Coventry Township, Chester County. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike);
  • Thursday, September 13, through Thursday, September 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is planned weekdays on Scotts Glen Road between Route 896 (New London Road) and Willow Way in Franklin Township, Chester County; and
  • Thursday, September 13, through Thursday, September 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is planned weekdays on Conestoga Road between Ithan Avenue and Hardwicke Lane in Radnor Township, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
