PECO Energy to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvement in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane restrictions with flagging on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties next week, for utility improvement, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning on Chestnut Street between 16th Street and 17th Street in Philadelphia, for utility installation;
- Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Pennock Avenue and Orchard Avenue in East Marlborough, Chester County, for utility installation;
- Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) at London Way in London Grove Township, Chester County, for road restoration; and
- Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 320 (Sproul Road) between Springfield Road and Morton Avenue in Marple Township, Delaware County, for pole maintenance.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
