SEPTA to Close Main Street October 4-6 for Bridge Construction in Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough

King of Prussia, PA – SEPTA is planning to close Main Street between Black Rock Road and Route 332 (Afton Avenue) in Lower Makefield Township and Yardley Borough, Bucks County from 11:00 PM Friday, October 4, to 3:00 PM Sunday, October 6, for bridge construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, Main Street motorists will be directed to use Black Rock Road, Route 32 (River Road/Delaware Avenue) and Route 332 (Afton Avenue). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone; however, Main Street will be closed to all "through" traffic between Reading Avenue and Oxford Road, at the intersection of the SEPTA Railroad tracks.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
