PennDOT - District 6 News: Pennsylvania American Water Company to Restrict Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Route 82 (First Avenue) in Chester County

Pennsylvania American Water Company to Restrict Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Route 82 (First Avenue) in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – Pennsylvania American Water Company is planning lane restrictions on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Route 82 (First Avenue) in City of Coatesville and Sadsbury Township, Chester County, for water main work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, September 30, through Friday, October 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) between Morris Lane and Blackberry Lane in Sadsbury Township;
  • Tuesday, October 1, through Friday, October 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Business U.S. 30/Route 82 (Lincoln Highway) between Church Street and Route 82 (First Avenue) in City of Coatesville; and
  • Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 82 (First Avenue) between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Diamond Street in City of Coatesville.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Pennsylvania American Water Company will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
