Nighttime Travel Restrictions Scheduled on Route 3 in Chester County and
U.S 1 in Bucks County

Nighttime travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Route 3 (West
Chester
Pike) in Chester County, and U.S. 1 in Bucks County, for bridge deck and
expansion joint repairs, respectively, the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) said today.

The weather-dependent work schedule is:

• On Sunday, April 3, through Thursday, April 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
one
lane will be closed on eastbound and westbound Route 3 (West Chester Pike)
between Valley Drive and Westtown Way in East Goshen Township, Chester
County;
and
• On Sunday, April 3, through Thursday, April 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM,
one
lane will be closed on northbound and southbound U.S 1 between U.S. 13 and
Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisville Borough, Bucks County.

Route 3 and U.S. 1 motorists are advised to allow additional time for
travel
during these overnight operations.

Eastern Highway Specialists, Inc. of Wilmington, Del. is the general
contractor
that will perform the work on both highways. The operations are part of a
$1.4
million contract to repair bridge decks and seal joints to preserve and
maintain structures in the Philadelphia region.
