PennDOT - District 6 News: I-95, U.S. 1, U.S. 202 Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Guide Rail Repair in Philadelphia, Bucks and Chester Counties

I-95, U.S. 1, U.S. 202 Travel Restrictions Scheduled for Guide Rail Repair in Philadelphia, Bucks and Chester Counties

King of Prussia, PA – Travel restrictions are scheduled next week on Interstate 95, U.S. 1 and U.S. 202 in Philadelphia, Bucks and Chester counties for guide rail repairs, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  •  Monday, August 6, through Thursday, August 9, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road/Linden Avenue and Route 413/Bristol interchanges in Philadelphia and Bristol Township, Bucks County;
  •  Monday, August 6, through Thursday, August 9, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Route 413/Bristol and Route 332/Newtown-Yardley interchanges in Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield townships, Bucks County; 
  •  Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, temporary lane closures are scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) between Glen Willow Road and Church Road in London Grove and New Garden townships, Chester County;
  • Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, temporary lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (Kennett-Oxford Bypass) between Walnut Road and Baltimore Pike in Kennett Township, Chester County;
  • Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, temporary lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike) between Dilworthtown Road/Brintons Bridge Road and Route 926 (Street Road) in Birmingham and Thornbury townships, Chester County; and
  • Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, temporary lane closures are scheduled on northbound U.S. 202 between Morstein Road and King Road in East Goshen and West Whiteland townships, Chester County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
