Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Friday.
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect from 10 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Friday.
* Locations... northern and central Delmarva... southern New Jersey... and Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs in southeastern Pennsylvania.
* Hazard types... snow.
* Accumulations... snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches.
* Timing... snow will begin to move into the region late this evening and spread over the region through the overnight hours. Snow is expected to continue through mid morning before tapering off early Friday afternoon.
* Impacts... the snow will affect the Friday morning commute. Untreated roads... bridges... and overpasses will be slick by the start of the morning commute.
* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while driving.
