PennDOT to Host Open House Meeting for Church Road Improvements Project in Cheltenham Township

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house public plans display on Thursday, April 4 at 6:00 PM in Glenside Hall at 185 S. Keswick Avenue in Glenside to inform citizens about the upcoming project to improve travel and safety along Route 73 (Church Road) at the Greenwood Avenue and Rices Mill Road intersections in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County.

Improvements will also include the installation of a sidewalk on the north side of Church Road from Rices Mill Road to Greenwood Avenue and the construction of a stormwater management basin on the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College property.

Construction bids on this project are expected to open late 2020.

"Statewide infrastructure improvements don't only have a positive impact on mobility, but economies as well," Governor Wolf said. "I look forward to continuing these vital investments in 2019 and beyond."

Today's announcement was made in Blue Bell, Montgomery County where PennDOT is investing more than $55 million to widen and reconstruct a 2.8-mile section of U.S. 202 from Township Line Road to just south of Morris Road in East Norriton and Whitpain townships.
