The Aqua water main break at the intersection of E. Church Road and Yerkes Road has been repaired and the road is open with a temporary surface. The permanent repair will be performed on Monday and will require a single lane closure.

Bridge Construction Planned at Night Next Week on U.S. 422 and N. Gulph Road in Upper Merion Township

Monday, October 30, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on eastbound U.S. 422 between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202;

Monday, October 30, through Wednesday, November 1, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a single lane closure is planned on N. Gulph Road between 1st Avenue and U.S. 202; and

Tuesday, October 31, and Wednesday, November 1, from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on westbound U.S. 422 between U.S. 202 and 1st Avenue.

Water Main Break at E. Church Road and Yerkes Road
There is an Aqua water main break at the intersection of E. Church Road and Yerkes Road. E. Church Road is closed between Henderson Road and Crooked Lane. Yerkes Road is closed at Shoemaker Road. Aqua will need to close the valve to make repairs. Some homes and businesses in the area may lose water service while the work is being performed.

The following is a rundown of special events scheduled for Saturday, 10/28/2023 through Tuesday, 10/31/2023 in Hatboro:

Saturday, 10/28/2023:

-The annual Skeleton Skurry 5K race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM, with the start and finish at Pennypack, 130 Spring Avenue, Hatboro. Motorists should expect temporary road closures, to include York Road and streets west of York Road as the racers make their way through the course. -Prescription Drug Take Back: The Hatboro Police Department will serve as a drop off location for any unwanted, unused or expired medicatons from 10AM-2PM. Feel free to stop by the police department where you can safely and securely dispose of these items. If you can't make it Saturday, feel free to drop by anytime 24/7 as our lobby is equipped with a secure drop box.

-Halloween Stroll: From 2PM-4PM participating businesses along the York Road Business District will be open for trick or treaters! Motorists should be alert for addtional pedestrian volume along York Road. This annual event is sponsored by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce. Please be safe!

Tuesday, 10/31/2023:

Halloween is Tuesday, 10/31/2023. Trick or Treaters will be be out and about through our town on Tuesday evening. On Monday, October 9, 2023, Landis Road will be closed between Moyer and Morris Roads for underground drainage pipe replacement in front of Heckler Plains Homestead, 237 Landis Road from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Local access to Bennington Court and Creekview Drive will be possible from the Moyer Road direction, but there will be a hard closure from Heckler Plains Homestead up to Morris Road. Detours are posted. Emergency personnel and School Transportation have been notified.
