Lane Restrictions Scheduled on U.S. 30 in Chester County for Barrier and
Guide Rail Installations

3/10/2016-KING OF PRUSSIA

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced
that
lane restrictions are scheduled on the U.S. 30 (Coatesville Downingtown
Bypass)
between Airport Road and Manor Avenue in Caln and Valley townships, Chester

County, on Sunday, March 13, through Tuesday, March 15, from 9:00 PM to
5:00
AM, for concrete median barrier and guide rail installations.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.
The
construction schedule is contingent on the weather.

The work is part of a $2.1 million project to install safety measures on
state
highways across the five-county region. In addition to median barriers and
guide rails, PennDOT has been installing rumble strips, raised pavement
markers
and curve signing on various highways to better guide motorists.

Morgan Rail, Inc. of Reading, Pa., is the general contractor on the
project,
which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by
visiting
www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides
traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and
access
to more than 770 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and
Android
devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional twitter alerts
accessible
on the 511PA website.
