2023 CAR SHOW & FALL FESTIVAL SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 17TH 3 PM TO 7 PM road closures and parking restriction information. The following streets will be closed to all traffic at 10 AM on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

To facilitate this event the following streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic at 10 AM.
Huntingdon Pike
Elm Avenue from Huntingdon Pike to Montgomery Avenue
North Penn Avenue from Huntingdon Pike to Montgomery Avenue
Church Road from Huntingdon Pike to Loney Street
South Central Avenue the entire block

The following streets are posted No Parking and enforcement will begin at 10 AM except for the Unit block of North Penn Ave where enforcement will begin at 9 AM

Filmore Street from Huntingdon Pike to Loney Street.
Church Road from Huntingdon Pike to Loney Street
North Penn Avenue from Huntingdon Pike to Montgomery Avenue (9 AM)

This is a message from the Upper Providence Township Police Department: Escaped Prisoner Danelo Cavalcante was believed to be seen in East Pikeland Township on a Ring camera within the past few hours. He is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet tall, 120 pounds, wearing a dark hat, lime green hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white sneakers. We have an increased police presence in Upper Providence Township. Please remain inside and lock your vehicles and homes. Check your surveillance devices, and call 911 to report any sightings of Cavalcante.

ReadyMontco - Lansdale Code Red Declaration Extended to Thursday, September 7 at 8pm Alert

The "Code Red" declaration that was issued for Montgomery County has been extended to Thursday, September 7 at 8pm.

Code Red Hot Weather Health Warnings are issued in anticipation of an oppressively hot air mass with a heat index of 100ºF or greater. Such conditions can be deadly, and residents should take precautions to prevent heat-related stress and illness. Those especially at risk are very young children, elderly adults, and people with chronic medical conditions, and who take certain medications. Friends, relatives, or neighbors should check on people who may be at risk. Seek medical attention if you are experiencing symptoms of heat-related illness — including muscle cramps, headache, nausea, or vomiting.

Residents of Montgomery County who need emergency shelter during a "Code Red" can call the Your Way Home Call Center at 2-1-1.

HELPFUL TIPS
~Drink plenty of non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated beverages.
~Wear lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
~If at all possible, try to get outdoor work completed in the morning to avoid the warmest part of the day.
~Keep windows and interior doors open when running a fan at home.
~Keep cool by seeking an air-conditioned building, such as a mall, library, or senior center if available. If not, seek rest in the shade
