PennDOT to Host Open House for U.S. 30 Bypass and Route 82 Reconstruction Project in Chester County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will hold an open house public plans display on Wednesday, January 29, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Wagontown Fire Company at 412 West Kings Highway in Wagontown, to inform citizens about the future project to reconstruct and improve the U.S. 30 Bypass and Route 82 interchange in Caln, Valley, and West Brandywine townships and the City of Coatesville, Chester County.

The purpose of the open house is to present and gather public feedback on improvement alternatives for the U.S. 30 Bypass and Route 82 Interchange. The meeting will be conducted as an open-house plans display where citizens will have the opportunity to circulate among the subject displays to gather information and discuss the different facets of the project with PennDOT's design team.

The purpose of the project is to provide a safe and efficient transportation system by improving safety, reducing future congestion, accommodating planned growth and improving facility deficiencies along the U.S. 30 corridor.

Construction bids on this project are expected to open in late 2026. The project is anticipated to be funded with 80 percent federal and 20 percent state dollars.

This project is part of PennDOT's program to improve and reconstruct 14.5-miles of U.S. 30 in Chester County.  More information is available at www.us30-chesco.com.
