Verizon Pennsylvania to Restrict U.S. 1 (City Avenue) and Route 29 (Morehall Road) for Utility Work in Chester and Philadelphia Counties
King of Prussia, PA – Verizon Pennsylvania is planning weekday lane closures on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia and Route 29 (Morehall Road) in Chester County, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for utility installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Tuesday, June 23, through Thursday, July 23, on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between 52nd Street and 53rd Street in Philadelphia; and
- Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26, on Route 29 (Morehall Road) between Mathews Road and Great Valley Parkway in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
