PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures next week on several state highways in Bucks, Chester and Delaware counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

  • Monday, July 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 152 (Main Street) between Church Street and Hamilton Street in Chalfont Borough; and
  • Tuesday, July 28, through Tuesday, August 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 132 (Street Road) between Mechanicsville Road and Castle Drive in Bensalem Township.

Chester County

  • Saturday, July 25, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Mondays through Saturdays on Route 29 (State Road) between Shilling Avenue and Charlestown Road in Charlestown Township;
  • Monday, July 27, from 9 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 52 (Lenape Road) between Tigue Road and Darlington Drive in East Bradford Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) between Starr Road and Sunny Dell Road in New Garden Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 7 PM to 3:00 AM, on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at Rockland Drive in West Whiteland Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 7 PM to 3:00 AM, on Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) at Commerce Drive in West Whiteland Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 41 (Pennsylvania Avenue) at State Street in Avondale Borough;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and Elmwood Drive in Kennett Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (Market Street) between Woolerton Street and Woodbine Alley in West Chester Borough;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Homeville Road and Glenville Road in Upper Oxford Township; and
  • Monday, July 27, through Monday, August 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekdays on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Fairville Road and Joshuas Way in Pennsbury Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Lynn Boulevard and U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in Upper Darby Township;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Darlington Road and Valley Road in Chester Heights Borough;
  • Monday, July 27, through Friday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Airedale Road and County Line Road in Radnor Township, Delaware County and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 21, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, weeknights on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Airedale Road and County Line Road in Radnor Township, Delaware County and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
