The work schedule and locations are:

  • Monday, December 6, from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will be in place on southbound Aramingo Avenue approaching the on-ramp to southbound I-95 at the Girard Avenue Interchange for milling and paving. If weather causes cancelation, this operation will take place during the same hours on Tuesday, December 7;
  • Monday, December 6, and Tuesday, December 7, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, two northbound I-95 lanes will be closed at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange for overhead ramp construction; and
  • Wednesday, December 8, and Thursday, December 9, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, two southbound I-95 lanes will be closed at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange for overhead ramp construction.

In the vicinity of the Allegheny Avenue Interchange:

  • Monday, December 6, through Friday, December 10, periodically from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Delaware Avenue will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers between Allegheny Avenue and Castor Avenue for concrete paving; and
  • Monday, December 6 through Friday, December 17, periodically from 12:00 AM through 12:00 PM, weekday lane restrictions will be in place on Allegheny Avenue between Bath Street and Delaware Avenue for utility work.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work zone. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.

The Aramingo Avenue paving is part of the $312 million project underway through 2022 to reconstruct southbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Girard Avenue interchanges. The overhead ramp work is part of the $93.6 million I-95 ramp replacement project at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange.

The work on Delaware Avenue and Allegheny Avenue is being done under the $31.2 million I-95/Section AF2 project to reconstruct and improve sections of Delaware, Allegheny and Castor avenues to enhance traffic movement on surface streets in the vicinity of the I-95 Allegheny/Castor Avenue Interchange.

The viaduct and ramp construction are part of the $312 million project currently underway through 2023 to reconstruct southbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Girard Avenue interchanges.
