Church Road Closed Due to Sinkhole in Upper Merion Township
King of Prussia, PA – Church Road is closed between Henderson Road and Brandenburg Way in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, due to a sinkhole, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Henderson Road and South Gulph Road. Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
PennDOT engineers are accessing the situation and developing a plan to repair the roadway. Church Road was previously closed in fall 2021 due to a sinkhole.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com or downloading the 511PA mobile application. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
