A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued in Montgomery County, and other parts of the region, as a major storm front rolls in late Friday morning. Wind gusts up to 60 miles an hour are expected, and large hail could fall. The watch was upgraded to a warning at 11:20 am and is in effect from until 6 pm. "Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds," the National Weather Service said. "Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Wind damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible." Up to three quarters of an inch of rain could fall and localized flooding is possible.
