ReadyMontco - Lansdale Alert Extreme Heat Warning with Potential Flash Flooding

Extreme Heat Warning! Dangerously hot & humid conditions expected through Wednesday, July 9, with highs in the mid-90s to 100°F and little relief forecasted in the evening temperatures. Heat indices near 100 to 105 degrees on Tuesday will result in an increased risk of heat related illness
Monday & Tuesday will be the hottest days, so please be prepared and follow heat safety guidelines:
• Extreme risk for heat-related illness
• Stay indoors if possible
• Drink plenty of water
• Avoid strenuous outdoor activity during peak heat
• Check on neighbors, especially the elderly & vulnerable

Potential Flash Flooding! Scattered showers and thunderstorms are capable of producing locally heavy rainfall amounts of 2-5", which could lead to flash flooding. Additional scattered showers and Thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday will be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall and damaging wind gusts. Never walk or drive through flooded sidewalks or roadways; turn around, don't drown!
