PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures on several state highways in Delaware, Chester and Montgomery counties for utility installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Friday, July 12, through Friday, July 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) in both directions between Hollywood Avenue and Old Land Road in Upper Darby Township, Delaware County;
- Friday, July 12, through mid-September, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday lane closures with flagging are scheduled on 5th Avenue between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Chestnut Street in the City of Coatesville, Chester County;
- Tuesday, July 16, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday lane closures are scheduled on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) between Barren Road and North Line Road in Newtown Township, Delaware County;
- Tuesday, July 16, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on westbound MacDade Boulevard between Lincoln Avenue and Felton Avenue in Collingdale Borough, Delaware County;
- Tuesday, July 16, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Clifton Avenue between MacDade Boulevard and Pusey Avenue in Collingdale Borough, Delaware County;
- Tuesday, July 16, through Friday, August 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday lane closures are scheduled on southbound Route 10 (Church Road) between 2nd Avenue and Borough Line Road in Parkesburg Borough, Chester County; and
- Thursday, July 18, through Friday, July 26, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Mall Boulevard and Allendale Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
