PennDOT to Repair and Resurface More Than 8 State Highways Across the Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on several state highways across the Philadelphia region for resurfacing operations as a part of several projects to repair and resurface more than 200 miles of state highway in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule and locations are:
Bucks County
• Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 22, weekdays, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Stony Brook Road between Eagle Road and Route 32 (River Road) in Upper Makefield Township for milling and paving operations.
Delaware County
• Sunday, November 10, through Tuesday, November 12, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Dilworthtown Road between Westtown Thornton Road and Chester County Line in Thornbury Township for base repair;
• Sunday, November 10, through Friday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on North Wayne Avenue between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and West Avenue in Radnor Township for milling and paving operations;
• Monday, November 11, and Tuesday, November 12, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Eagle Road between Township Line Road and Earlington Road in Haverford Township for high friction treatment; and
• Wednesday, November 13, and Thursday, November 14, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Brintons Bridge Road/Dilworthtown Road between Birmingham Road and Westtown Thornton Road in Thornbury Township for paving operations.
Montgomery County
• Sunday, November 10, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Main Street between Route 363 (Trooper Road) and Forrest Avenue in West Norriton Township for paving operations;
• Sunday, November 10, through Friday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Marlborough Township for milling and paving operations;
• Sunday, November 10, through Friday, November 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Limerick Road between Ridge Pike and Township Line Road in Limerick Township for milling and paving operations; and
• Tuesday, November 12, through Thursday, November 14, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) at the Miller Road intersection in Perkiomen Township for emergency pipe repair.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these improvement projects, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.
