I-95 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Surveying, Soil Borings in Philadelphia
King of Prussia PA – Interstate 95 is among several state highways restricted next week in Philadelphia for surveying and soil boring operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule and locations are:
- Monday, April 4, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Allegheny Avenue and Girard Avenue interchanges;
- Monday, April 4, through Friday, April 8, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures will be in place on I-95 in both directions at the Betsy Ross Bridge Interchange;
- Tuesday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Aramingo Avenue and Girard Avenue interchanges;
- Wednesday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the I-676 Interchange and Market Street;
- Wednesday, April 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on eastbound I-676 between the 8th Street and I-95 exits, and on westbound I-676 between the I-95 exit and the Ben Franklin Bridge; and
- Thursday, April 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on Interstate 76 in both directions between the Montgomery Drive and U.S. 1 interchanges.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
