Construction Activities Scheduled Next Week in Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled in Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

The work schedules and locations are:

Philadelphia

  • Monday, November 7, through Friday, November 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 676 between the Broad Street and the Interstate 95 interchanges for line striping;
  • Monday, November 7, through Friday, November 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 76 between the U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Expressway) and the Passyunk Avenue interchanges for line striping;
  • Monday, November 7, through Friday, November 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Academy Road Interchange and the Bucks County line for line striping;
  • Monday, November 7, through Friday, November 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 between the Route 291 and the I-676 interchanges for line striping; and
  • Wednesday, November 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on southbound Interstate 95 at the Philadelphia International Airport Interchange for bridge inspection.

Chester County

  • Monday, November 7, through Thursday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Coatesville – Downingtown Bypass) between the Chester County Airport and the Lincoln Highway interchanges in Valley, West Caln, and Sadsbury townships for crack sealing operations.

Delaware County

  • Wednesday, November 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a road closure is scheduled on St. Davids Road between Mason's Way and Church Road in Radnor and Newtown townships for tree removal. Motorists are directed to use Newtown Street, Waterloo Road, and Church Road. Local access will be maintained; and
  • Thursday, November 10, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a road closure is scheduled on Route 420 (Woodland Avenue) between James Road and Spring Valley Road in Springfield Township for tree removal. Motorists are directed to use Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Baltimore Pike. Local access will be maintained.

Montgomery County

  • Tuesday, November 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Coates Street) where Coates Street turns into River Road in Bridgeport Borough for milling and overlay operations.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
