Paving, Bridge Repair, Roadway Construction Continue at Night Under Two Interstate 476 Improvement Projects in Delaware, Montgomery Counties
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities will continue at night under two separate projects to improve travel and safety on I-476, the associated on-and-off ramps and bridges in Delaware and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, November 10, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound MacDade Boulevard between Bullens Lane and School Lane in Ridley Township, Delaware County, for barrier removal.
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on sections of northbound and southbound I-476 between the I-76 and I-95 interchanges in Montgomery and Delaware counties for paving, bridge repair, and guiderail installation.
- Monday, November 11, through Friday, November 15, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound and westbound I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) between Matsonford Road and I-476 in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County for bridge repair.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The barrier removal is part of a $16.2 million project to improve travel and safety on MacDade Boulevard and at the northbound I-476 and MacDade Boulevard Interchange.
The paving, bridge repair and guiderail replacement are part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve approximately 17 miles of the interstate from I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, to I-95 in Ridley Township, Delaware County.
