Roadway Reconstruction Scheduled Next Week on U.S. 422, Sanatoga Road, Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction is scheduled next week on U.S. 422, Sanatoga Road, and Porter Road under an $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 4:00 AM to 2:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) and Armand Hammer Boulevard for road and bridge reconstruction.
- Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures with 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on Sanatoga Road between E. High Street and Linfield Road for bridge construction.
- Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures with 15-minute traffic stoppages will be in place in both directions on Porter Road between E. High Street and Sanatoga Station Road for bridge construction.
- Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, intermittent single lane closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between Keim Street and Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) for road and bridge reconstruction.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
