Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Tree Trimming Operations in Chester County
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on several state highways next week in Chester County, on Monday, December 9, through Friday, December 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for tree trimming operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Creek Road between Route 926 (Street Road) and Wylie Ter Road in Pocopson and Birmingham townships;
- Birmingham Road between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and Brintons Bridge Road in East Bradford and Birmingham townships;
- Wylie Ter Road between Birmingham Road and Creek Road in Birmingham Township;
- Route 926 (Street Road) between Dutton Mill Road and Powderhorn Drive in Willistown and Westtown townships;
- Concord Road between Beechwood Road and Route 926 (Street Road) in Westtown Township;
- Westtown Road between Westtown Way and Mallard Road in West Goshen Township;
- Westtown Road between Route 926 (Street Road) and Westtown School Road in Westtown Township;
- Sugartown Road between Providence Road and Goshen Road in Willistown Township;
- Providence Road between Goshen Road and Marlborough Road in Willistown Township;
- Providence Road between Sugartown Road and Goshen Road in Willistown Township;
- Route 352 (Chester Road) between U.S. 30 (Lancaster Pike) and Strasburg Road in East Goshen and East Whiteland townships;
- Strasburg Road between Dutton Mill Road and Reservoir Road in East Goshen Township;
- Creek Road between Route 52 (Lenape Road) and St. Finegan Drive in East Bradford Township; and
- Route 926 (Street Road) between Creek Road and Route 82 (Unionville Road) in East Marlborough and Pennsbury townships.
In addition to the weekday restrictions above, flagging operations are also scheduled on Old Kennett Road between Creek Road and Burnt Mill Road in Kennett Township, on Monday, December 9, through Sunday, December 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
