A snow emergency has been declared in anticipation for tomorrows snow event. The following is important information for all residents:
1. Parking Restrictions:
To assist with plowing, residents are required to remove all vehicles from public roadways. Vehicles left on streets will be subject to ticketing or towing.
2. Travel Advisory:
During these inclement weather conditions, non-essential travel is strongly discouraged. Roads may be hazardous, and plows need room to operate safely.
3. Clearing Sidewalks:
Residents and businesses are reminded to clear sidewalks of snow and ice within 24 hours after the snow has stopped, as per township ordinances. It is illegal to deposit snow removed from sidewalks or private property onto any Township street and you are prohibited from throwing or blowing of snow into the streets from sidewalk or properties. Violators are subject to fines. To assist emergency personnel, specifically firefighters, please be sure to clear a three (3) foot clearance around all fire hydrants on your property
4. Remove Basketball Hoops:
If you have portable basketball hoops on the street, please store them away to avoid damage during snow removal.
5. Emergency Assistance:
In case of any emergency, please dial 911.
6. Shoveling Tips:
Shovel snow early and often to prevent accumulation. Avoid shoveling the last 4 feet of your driveway until after the plows pass. This will save you time and effort!
Stay Informed: Updates will be posted on the Township's website and social media channels as conditions evolve. Please monitor these platforms for the latest information.
