Wind Advisory

This is an important message from ReadyPhiladelphia.


Wind Advisory in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday. Gusts up to 55 mph are possible.  Exercise caution.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Saturday.

  • Winds: Northwest 20 to 30 mph with scattered gusts 45 to 55 mph.

  • Timing: Winds will pick up suddenly near dawn Saturday and may immediately gust past 45 mph. There appears to a greater chance of northwest wind gusts between 45 and 55 mph Saturday afternoon. If gusts near 50 mph occur as expected Saturday, this advisory may eventually have to be extended into Saturday evening.

  • Impacts: A possibility of a few broken tree limbs and associated power outages. Driving will be difficult at times, especially for high profile vehicles.
  • Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: A Wind Advisory means that very windy conditions are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. Light-weight outdoor objects such as patio furniture and garbage cans should be secured.
