PECO to Restrict Several State Highways, Including U.S. 202 for Utility
Improvements in Montgomery County

PECO is planning weekday lane restrictions on several state highways in
Montgomery County, including a closure on U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street), for gas

main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT)
announced today.

The work schedule is:

• Monday, November 6, through Friday, November 10, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM,

U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street) is scheduled to close between Schuylkill Avenue
and
Main Street in Norristown. During construction, U.S. 202 (DeKalb Street)
motorists will be detoured over Main Street and Markley Street;
• Monday, November 20, through Monday, November 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
single lane closures are scheduled on Fitzwatertown Road between Hills
Avenue
and David Drive in Upper Dublin Township;
• Monday, November 20, through Monday, November 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
single lane closures are scheduled on Trooper Road between Germantown Pike
and
Cirak Avenue in East Norriton Township;
• Monday, November 20, through Monday, November 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
single lane closures are scheduled on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between
Crestline Drive and U.S. 202 (DeKalb Pike) in Whitpain Township; and
• Monday, November 20, through Monday, November 27, from 9:00 AM to 3:00
PM,
single lane closures are scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Bridge

Street and Maple Avenue in Perkiomen Township.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work
areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
