PennDOT - District 6 News: PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties

PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures on several state highways in Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Chester County

  • Monday, March 9, through Monday, April 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on northbound Pottstown Pike between Boot Road and the Exton Station Community complex in West Whiteland Township;
  • Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S 1 (Baltimore Pike) between Lenape Road and Route 52 (Kennett Pike) in Kennett Township; and
  • Monday, March 16, through Friday, March 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Darby Paoli Road) between Fox Creek Road and Beaumont Road in Easttown Township.

Delaware County

  • Monday, March 9, through Thursday, March 12, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Newtown Street Road) at the intersection with Winding Way in Newtown Township; and
  • Monday, March 9, through Friday March 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 841 (Prospect Avenue) between Summit Avenue and Walnut Street on West Grove Borough.

Philadelphia County

  • Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Girard Avenue) at 38th Street.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
