The National Weather Service has issued a Flood warning for the Borough of Pottstown until after midnight tonight. Roads in low-lying areas may be closed due to flooding. Do not drive around barricades. The water level on the Manatawny Creek and Schuylkill River are expected to continue to rise throughout the day even though the rain has stopped. The winds will continue to gust to around 40 mph throughout the day. The river is expected to crest with moderate flooding. Remember, turn around, don't drown. Special caution by residents in the area of Manatawny Street between High Street and Beech Streets, as well as residents in the 0 to 99 block of King, Chestnut, Walnut and Beech Streets.
