I-95 Overnight Lane Closure Scheduled Next Week for Repair and Resurfacing
in Bucks County
8/3/2017-KING OF PRUSSIA
Intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound Interstate 95
between
the Route 413 and U.S. 1 interchanges on Monday, August 7, through Sunday,
August 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, for milling and
bridge deck repair as part of a project to repair and resurface 13 miles of
Interstate 95 in Bensalem, Bristol, Middletown and Lower Makefield
townships,
Bucks County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling on I-95 in the
work
area because backups and delays will occur. The contractor's schedule is
weather dependent.
Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling, overlaying and
rehabilitating existing pavement; performing base repairs; installing new
guide
rail; repairing or replacing damaged traffic signs; performing minor bridge
deck repairs; and installing rumble strips and delineators along the I-95
corridor in Bucks County. The entire project is scheduled to be completed
in
fall 2018.
James J. Anderson Construction Company, Inc. of Philadelphia is the general
contractor on the $29,633,134 project, which is financed with 80 percent
federal and 20 percent state funds.
