Aqua Pennsylvania to Restrict Several State Highways Weekdays for Utility Improvements in Delaware County
King of Prussia, PA – Aqua Pennsylvania is planning weekday lane restrictions and closures on several state highways in Delaware County, for water main installation, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Rose Valley Road will be closed between Brookhaven Road and Route 252 (Providence Road) in Nether Providence Township. During the weekday closure, motorists will be directed to use Brookhaven Road and Route 252 (Providence Road);
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 352 (Middletown Road) at High Meadow Drive in Middletown Township;
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 24, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Lenni Road is scheduled to close between Route 452 (Pennell Road) and Llewellyn Road in Middletown and Aston townships and Chester Heights Borough. During the weekday closure, Lenni Road motorists will be directed to use Route 452 (Pennell Road), U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike), Valleybrook Road and Llewellyn Road;
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 31, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on 69th Street between Marshall Road and Patterson Avenue in Upper Darby Township;
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, State Road is scheduled to close between U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) and Burmont Road in Upper Darby Township. During the weekday closure, State Road motorists will be directed to use U.S. 1 (Township Line Road) and Burmont Road; and
- Monday, August 13, through Friday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Springfield Road is scheduled to close between Old Marple Road and U.S. 1 (State Road) in Springfield Township. During the weekday closure, motorists will be directed to use Old Marple Road, Route 320 (Sproul Road) and U.S. 1 (State Road);
Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone for all closures. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Aqua Pennsylvania will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
