I-95 Lane Restrictions Monday for Bridge Inspection in Philadelphia
King of Prussia, PA – Interstate 95 motorists will encounter lane restrictions in both directions between the Allegheny Avenue and Bridge Street interchanges in Philadelphia on Monday, October 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for bridge inspection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95;
- From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95;
- From 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95;
- From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95; and
- From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right shoulder closure is scheduled on the northbound I-95 ramp to Bridge Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
