Route 63 Among Three State Highways Restricted Next Week for Utility Improvements in Montgomery and Bucks Counties
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures on three state highways in Montgomery and Bucks counties including Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) in Abington Township next week for gas line installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The lane closures will be in place Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the following locations:
- Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) between Huntingdon Road and Sybil Lane in Abington Township, Montgomery County;
- County Line Road between Buxmont Road and Brookdale Road in Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County and Lower Southampton Township, Bucks County; and
- Sugar Bottom Road between Hillside Avenue and Mountain Laurel Drive in Buckingham Township, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather permitting.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
