Wolf Administration Announces Work to Begin on Project to Repair and Resurface 35 Miles of State Highway in Bucks County

King of Prussia, PA – The Wolf Administration announced today that construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 22, on a project to repair and resurface 35 miles of state highway in Bucks County.

"Resurfacing projects like this are an important part of investing in the state's infrastructure," Governor Tom Wolf said. "These repairs will help increase safety and improve efficiency on the roadways in Bucks County."

Under this improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, April 26, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled on Route 32 (River Road) between Byram Road and Old Ferry Road in Tinicum and Plumstead townships, for milling and paving; and
  • Wednesday, April 24, through Wednesday, May 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane restrictions with flagging are scheduled weekdays on Stump Road between Cabin Run Road and Route 413 (Durham Road) in Plumstead Township, for milling and paving.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
