PECO to Restrict Several State Highways Next Week for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning single lane closures on several state highways next week across the Philadelphia region including Chestnut Street in Philadelphia and Street Road (Route 132) in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, for utility installations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Monday, May 13, through Thursday, May 16, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Chestnut Street between 16th Street and 17th Street in Philadelphia;
- Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 252 (Newtown Road) between Sawmill Road and St. Davids Road in Newtown Township, Delaware County;
- Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) between Rosalie Avenue and Bensalem Avenue in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
- Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Springfield Road between Duncan Lane and Britton Road in Springfield Township, Delaware County;
- Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Orvilla Road between Leon Drive and West Lane in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Stoopville Road between Eagle Road and Clymer Street in Newtown Township, Bucks County; and
- Tuesday, May 14, through Thursday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Street Road (Route 132) between Hoover Avenue and Fairview Avenue in Lower Southampton Township, Bucks County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
