Several State Highways Remain Closed Due to Downed Trees, Flooding in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery Counties

​King of Prussia, PA – Several state highways are closed today in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties due to downed trees and flooding caused by severe weather on Wednesday, May 29, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The highways will remain closed while PennDOT and contractor crews work to safely reopen the following roadways:

Bucks County

  • Route 32 (River Road) between Dark Hollow Road and Cafferty Road in Tinicum Township, Bucks County;
  • Route 263 (Windy Bush Road) between Pineville Road and Aquatong Road in Solebury Township, Bucks County;
  • County Line Road at Richardson Road in Colmar Township, Bucks County;
  • Stoney Hill Road between Pineville Road and Street Road in Buckingham Township, Bucks County;
  • Pineville Road between Ridge Road and Holicong Road in Buckingham Township, Bucks County; and
  • Callowhill Road at Ferry Road in New Britain Township, Bucks County.

Chester County

  • Paoli Pike at Grubb Road in Willistown Township, Chester County;
  • Conestoga Road between Devon State Road and Hunters Lane in Easttown Township, Chester County; and
  • Waterloo Road/Devon State Road/Valley Forge Road between Gwen Lane and Old State Road in Easttown and Tredyffrin townships, Chester County.

Montgomery County

  • Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Shelly Road and Zepp Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County;
  • Route 63 (Main Street) between Route 563 (Ridge Road) and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Upper Salford Township and Green Lane Borough, Montgomery County;
  • Salford Street at Old Skippack Pike in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County;
  • Spring Mount Road between Schwensville Road and Clemmers Mill Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County;
  • Perkiomenville Road between Old Skippack Road and Kratz Station Road in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County;
  • Old Skippack Road between Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) and Freeman School Road in Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Hendricks Station Road at Old Skippack Pike in Upper Salford Township, Montgomery County.

Local detours will be posted for all highway closures. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the closures because backups and delays will occur.
