PECO to Restrict U.S. 202, Route 73 and Several Other State Highways across Philadelphia Region
King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning weekday lane closures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on several state highways in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester counties, including U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) and Route 73 (Skippack Pike), for utility improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work schedule is:
- Friday, May 24, through late July, Pennsylvania Avenue between Rech Avenue and Lafayette Avenue in Springfield Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, Broad Street between Route 463 (Cowpath Road) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, Route 513 (Hulmeville Road) between Virginia Avenue and Route 132 (Street Road) in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Hancock Road and Swedesford Road in Lower Gwynedd Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Friday, May 31, Bristol Road between Lower State Road and Folly Road in Warrington Township, Bucks County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Tuesday, June 11, on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Church Road and Mensch Road in Skippack Township, Montgomery County;
- Tuesday, May 28, through Tuesday, June 11, U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) between Lloyd Avenue and Rock Raymond Road in Caln Township, Chester County;
- Wednesday, May 29, through Thursday, September 5, Jenkintown Road between Easton Road and Abington Avenue in Abington Township, Montgomery County;
- Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 14, Easton Road between Old Easton Road and Route 313 (Swamp Road) in Doylestown Borough, Bucks County; and
- Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 14, Egypt Road between Crawford Road and Culp Road in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through these work areas. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
