Route 463 (Horsham Road) Lane Restrictions Scheduled Next Week for Resurfacing Operations in Montgomery County
King of Prussia, PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 463 (Horsham Road) between Upper State Road and Tournament Drive in Montgomery and Horsham townships, Montgomery County, on Sunday, June 23, through Sunday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM for milling, paving and utility adjustments, as part of a project to repair and resurface 39 miles of state highway in Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:
- Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Skippack Pike) and Second Street in Schwenksville, Red Hill and Green Lane boroughs;
- Route 63 (Old Welsh Road) between Terwood Drive and Red Lion Road in Lower Moreland Township;
- Route 113 (Broad Street) between Front Street and the Bucks County line in Souderton Borough;
- Route 332 (Montgomery Avenue/Jacksonville Road) between Route 263 (York Road) and the Bucks County line in Hatboro Brough;
- Route 363 (Trooper Road) between Audubon Road and Germantown Pike in Worcester, Lower Providence and West Norriton townships;
- U.S. 422 between Porter Road and the Chester County line in Lower Pottsgrove Township;
- Route 663 (Layfield Road) between Route 73 (Big Road) and Hill Road in New Hanover Township;
- Perkiomenville Road between Route 73 (Big Road) and Route 29 (Gravel Pike) in Upper Fredrick Township;
- Water Street Road between Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and just north of the Skippack Creek Bridge in Worcester and Skippack townships;
- Limerick Road between Ridge Pike and Township Line Road in Perkiomen and Limerick townships; and
- Neiffer Road between Ridge Pike and Pheasant Road in Limerick Township.
Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $7,522,941 project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds from Act 89, Pennsylvania's transportation plan. Work on the project is expected to be completed in December.
