MacDade Boulevard, Chester Road Restricted Next Week for ADA Curb Ramp Installation in Delaware County
King of Prussia, PA – Motorists will encounter periodic lane closures at several intersections in Delaware County, on Monday, August 12, through Friday, August 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, as a part of a project to install 138 ADA curb ramps at 47 intersections across Chester and Delaware counties the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.
The work locations include:
- MacDade Boulevard and Monta Vista Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and School Lane in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Fairview Road in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Fernwood Road in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Forrest Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Edgewood Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Virginia Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Milmont Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Morris Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County;
- MacDade Boulevard and Haverford Road/Morton Avenue in Ridley Township, Delaware County; and
- Chester Road and Fairview Road in Swarthmore Borough, Delaware County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather.
L.C. Costa Contractors, Inc. of Warminster, Bucks County, is the general contractor on the $946,676 project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds. Work on the entire project is expected to be completed in summer 2019.
