PECO to Restrict Several State Highways for Utility Improvements Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – PECO Energy is planning lane closures on several state highways in the Philadelphia region for utility construction, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today. 

The work schedule is:
  • Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Upper Gulph Road between Croton Road and Ivycroft Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County; 
  • Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Conestoga Road at Howellville Road in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County; 
  • Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Davis Avenue and Coffman Street in East Whiteland Township, Chester County;
  • Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Byberry Road between Betz Road and Village Circle in Upper Moreland Township, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, August 5, through Friday, August 9, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Street Road (Route 132) between Walter Road and Davisville Road in Warminster Township, Bucks County;
  • Thursday, August 8, through Thursday, August 15, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Mall Boulevard and Allendale Road in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County; and
  • Friday, August 16, through Friday, August 23, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between Buck Run Lane and Doe Lane in East Whiteland Township, Chester County.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
