I-76, I-95, U.S. 422 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Guide Rail Repair Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled on several state highways next week, including Interstate 76, Interstate 95 and U.S. 422 for guide rail repairs across the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

  • Monday, September 30, through Wednesday, October 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 422 between Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove and Limerick townships, Montgomery County;
  • Monday, September 30, through Thursday, October 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between Route 413 and Academy Road interchanges in Bristol and Bensalem townships, Bucks County;
  • Monday, September 30, through Thursday, October 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) ramp to southbound I-95 in Bensalem Township, Bucks County;
  • Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a left lane closure is scheduled on I-76 between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Montgomery Drive interchanges in Philadelphia; and
  • Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between Highland Avenue and Route 352 interchanges in City of Chester, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
