Pennsylvania American Water Company to Close 1st Avenue Next Week for Paving in Coatesville

King of Prussia, PA – Pennsylvania American Water Company is planning to close 1st Avenue between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Harmony Street in the City of Coatesville, Chester County on Monday, September 16, through Wednesday, September 18, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for paving operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway), Route 82 (Strode Avenue/Doe Run Road), Strasburg Road and Youngsburg Road. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Pennsylvania American Water Company will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
