I-95, I-476, U.S. 1 Among Several State Highways Restricted Next Week for Guide Rail Repair Across Philadelphia Region

King of Prussia, PA – Lane closures are scheduled next week on several state highways in Bucks, Delaware and Philadelphia counties including Interstate 95, Interstate 476 and U.S. 1 for guide rail repair, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today.

The work schedule is:

Bucks County

• Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 between Route 213 (Maple Avenue) and Rockhill Drive in Langhorne Manor Borough and Bensalem and Middletown townships, Bucks County;
• Monday, March 2, through Friday, March 6, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 between Pennsylvania Avenue and U.S. 13 in Morrisville Borough and Falls Township, Bucks County; and
• Thursday, March 5, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure will be in place on the ramp from northbound River Road/Pennsylvania Avenue to Tyburn Road in Falls Township, Bucks County.

Delaware County

• Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, left or right lane closures are scheduled along various sections of I-95 in both directions between the Delaware County and Bucks County lines in Philadelphia and between the Delaware state line and Bartram Avenue in Delaware County;
• Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, left or right lane closures are scheduled along various sections of I-476 in both directions between I-95 and the Montgomery County line in Delaware County; and
• Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, left or right lane closures are scheduled along various sections of U.S. 1 in both directions between the Chester County and Montgomery County lines in Delaware County.

Philadelphia County

• Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, left or right lane closures are scheduled along various sections of Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) in both directions between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and the Bucks County line in Philadelphia; and
• Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 13, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, left or right lane closures are scheduled along various sections of Academy Road in both directions between I-95 and Knights Road in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
